Stichting Gorinchem in Beeld met Kunst organiseert op zaterdag 21 en zondag 22 juni 2025, onder de naam ManiVesta, een kunstmanifestatie op bijzondere locaties verspreid over Gorinchem en aan de andere kant in Woudrichem. Denk aan intieme woningen, sfeervolle tuinen, historische monumenten en de indrukwekkende vestingwerken van deze prachtige stad. Dit unieke evenement, dat tweejaarlijks plaatsvindt, biedt kunstenaars uit alle disciplines de kans om hun werk te tonen.
De kunstmanifestatie heeft als doel de betekenis van kunst en kunstenaars in onze samenleving te belichten en een dialoog tussen kunstenaars en publiek te stimuleren. Daarnaast creëren we een verbinding tussen kunst en unieke locaties, om zo het cultuurtoerisme naar onder andere de vestingstad Gorinchem te bevorderen. Niet voor niets staat Gorinchem als mooiste vestingstad van Nederland op de UNESCO Werelderfgoedlijst. Een groot deel van het evenement vindt dan ook plaats in deze historische vesting.
3rd Edition Art Manifestation Gorinchem
On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June 2025, the Gorinchem in Beeld met Kunst Foundation, under the name ManiVesta, is organising an art event at special locations throughout Gorinchem and on the other side in Woudrichem. Think of intimate homes, atmospheric gardens, historical monuments and the impressive fortifications of this beautiful city. This unique event, which takes place every two years, offers artists from all disciplines the opportunity to show their work.
The art event aims to highlight the significance of art and artists in our society and to stimulate a dialogue between artists and the public. In addition, we create a connection between art and unique locations, in order to promote cultural tourism to, among others, the fortified city of Gorinchem. It is not without reason that Gorinchem is on the UNESCO World Heritage List as the most beautiful fortified city in the Netherlands. A large part of the event will therefore take place in this historic fortress.
